May 27, 2021, Gomel branch of the BelCCI and the Kherson CCI jointly organized a regional meeting with the Kherson region of Ukraine.Director General of Gomel branch of the BelCCI, Marina Filonova, noting the close interaction and friendly relations with the Kherson CCI, stressed the need to deepen business connections through the CCI of the two regions. She also congratulated the head of the Kherson CCI, Victoria Ostroumova, on her latest re-election to President of the Kherson CCI.
Deputy General Director, Boris Guschin, made a presentation on the Gomel region and Gomel branch of the BelCCI, stressing that for the period 2018-2020, out of 58 events held by all the branches of the BelCCI, 15 (25%) were jointly organized by the Gomel branch and the Kherson CCI. Kherson is one of the most active in representing the interests of Ukrainian enterprises on the electronic platform of the Gomel branch.
President of the Kherson Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Viktoria Ostroumova, noted the importance of chambers of commerce and industry in establishing and developing business connections – regardless of pandemic and other conditions. She invited representatives of Belarusian enterprises to visit the Kherson region for negotiations.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Ukraine, Igor Sokol. informed about the commodity turnover between the two countries and directions of Belarusian-Ukrainian cooperation. He also thanked Gomel branch of the BelCCI and the Kherson CCI of Ukraine for the active work in deepening business connections.
At the meeting, presentations were made by Gomel Fat Plant OJSC, Gomelkhleboproduct Branch, Gomelkhleboproduct OJSC, Tanis CJSC.
On the Ukrainian side – NPP “Novokakhovsky Electromechanical Plant” LLC, “Kaissa Oil” Group of Companies, “OSA” Company, “Tavria House of Vintage Cognacs”, “Dunapak” LLC and “Kherson fruit and vegetable” multi-unit enterprise.
Agreements were reached on the continuation of the Belarusian-Ukrainian narrow-profile negotiations in June 2021.
