May 26, 2021, Gomel branch of the BelCCI, jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Mari El Union, organized a regional meeting with the Republic of Mari El of the Russian Federation.
General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI, Marina Filonova, and General Director of “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Mari El” Union, German Dementyev, greeted the participants, noting the increased activity of inter-chamber cooperation and deepening of business connections.
Deputy General Director Boris Guschin made a presentation on the Gomel region and the Gomel branch of the BelCCI, stressing that starting from December 2020, 4 joint events were organized with the business community and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Mari El. He informed about the exchange of commercial offers and invited Russian partners to take part in the events of the second half of 2021, organized by the Gomel branch of the BelCCI.
The head of the department of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Kazan, Oleg Isaev, noted the need to fill the intergovernmental agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Mari El of the Russian Federation with concrete business content and systematic development of connections. He thanked the participants and organizers of this meeting and assured of foreign economic relations of the regions promoting.
From the Belarusian side, presentations were held by OJSC “Mozyr Mashinoconstruction plant”, JSC “Gomelagrokomplekt”. On the Russian side, the Union of Forest Users of the Republic of Mari El and NPF “Meta-Chrom” LLC took part in the negotiations.
The meeting resulted in signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Gomel branch of the BelCCI and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Mari El Union.
