R2R meeting ATU Gagauzia (Republic of Moldova)

May 26, 2021, a regional meeting with ATU Gagauzia of the Republic of Moldova took place. The meeting was jointly organized by Gomel branch of the BelCCI and Gagauzia CCI.

Opening the dialog, General Director of Gomel branch of the BelCCI, Marina Filonova, and Director of Gagauzia CCI, Mikhail Pashaly, stressed that traditional connection between the Chambers and business communities of Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus and ATU Gagauzia of the Republic of Moldova, was actively prolonged in a new online format.

 

Deputy General Director Boris Guschin made a presentation on the activities of Gomel branch of the BelCCI, noting the contribution of the chambers of commerce and industry of the two regions to the advancement of trade and economic cooperation, stressing that over the past 5 years events held by Gomel branch of the BelCCI with Moldova made up for 65% of the total number of events held by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

Speaking about online resources of Gomel branch of the BelCCI, Boris Guschin drew attention to the participation of partners from the Ungheni and Gagauzia branches of the Republic of Moldova CCI in the key image events held by Gomel branch of the BeCCI: the International exhibition “Spring in Gomel”, “Business Days in Gomel”. In addition, he proposed to make more active use of the available digital resources for placing commercial offers and advertising resources of member enterprises of the chambers.

 

During the meeting, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic of Belarus, Tatiana Cherkez, and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Moldova, Konstantin Sibov, spoke about concrete steps to develop the Belarusian-Moldovan inter-regional cooperation with the involvement of a wider range of interested organizations.

Presentations of the Agency for Attracting Investments and Export Promotion of ATU Gagauzia, Free Enterprise Zone “Valkanesh”, as well as 3 Moldovan companies made their presentations. Four enterprises from the Belarusian side made their presentations as well.
