The opening of the XXIII International Exhibition “Spring in Gomel” was marked by the online connection to the solemn ceremony of more than 100 participants from 19 countries.
The business part of the event program started on May 19, 2022 with a meeting with the business community of the Bryansk region and B2B negotiations with Gomel enterprises. The event was organized by the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Russian side was represented by the leaders of “Bryansk Electrotechnical Plant “LLC, “Basic Korm” LLC, “Mebelgrad” LLC, as well as partners of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI under Cooperation Agreements – the Center for Entrepreneurship Development of the Bryansk Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Export Support Center of the Bryansk Region.
Opening the meeting, General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI Marina Filonova expressed hope that the organized negotiations would be substantive and lead to the expansion of business cooperation between the border regions.
As the deputy head of the Center for the Development of Entrepreneurship of the Bryansk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Gudovsky noted, representing the participants of the Russian side, the program of work of the delegation in Gomel is rich and productive. Representatives of the Bryansk business visited the Gomel enterprises of the agro-industrial and energy complexes. Agreements on supplies, interaction in matters of import substitution are outlined.
From the Belarusian side, the meeting was attended by the heads of “Elektroapparatura” OJSC, “Dialog-Gomel” OJSC, representatives of “Poultry Farm “Rassvet” OJSC, “Gomelkhimtorg” OJSC, “Zhlobin Garment Factory” OJSC, representatives of “Mirtek-Engineering” LLC and “BELFA” OJSC “.
The round table “Partnership of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI for the purposes of interregional development ” was held in the Gomel branch of the BelCCI with the participation of heads of delegations from St. Petersburg, Bryansk, Kazakhstan and Vietnam.
General Director Marina Filonova invited the audience to discuss promising areas of cooperation with the Gomel region.
All participants noted their interest in mutually beneficial cooperation with the Gomel branch of the BelCCI.
Implementing the agreements reached earlier with the Administration of the Krasnogvardeisky District of St. Petersburg, Deputy Head of the Krasnogvardeisky District Administration Yevgeny Matrosov noted that the purpose of the return visit was cooperation in the construction sector, the construction of social facilities by Belarusian companies using Belarusian building materials.
Long-term experience of cooperation with the Bryansk CCI Union needs to be deepened, opening up new niches for cross-border cooperation. Speaking about the new realities, Sergey Gudovsky, Deputy Center for Entrepreneurship Development of the Bryansk CCI Union, noted the importance of import substitution and industrial cooperation.
The heads of other delegations supported this view.
Chin Xuan Hieu, Trade Representative of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Republic of Belarus, offered to exchange commercial offers to find partners.
Marina Filonova, noting the importance of the Belarusian-Vietnamese cooperation, proposed to strengthen the vector of interregional cooperation with Vietnam.
Examples of close cooperation between the Atyrau and Gomel regions were presented in the presentation by the representative of JSC SEC “Atyrau” Kuralay Bralieva, she emphasized the interest of the companies of the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan in the supply of Belarusian agricultural products and the creation of joint ventures.
