In order to preserve the historical and cultural heritage, to create conditions for the development of the regional tourist potential of the Gomel region, one of the key events of the anniversary XXV International Exhibition “Spring in Gomel” this year will be the Forum “Catherine’s Roads”.
The forum “Catherine’s Roads” is an important component of the international project “Catherine’s Roads”, implemented by the private institution “Territory of Development – 21st Century” together with the Gomel branch of the BelCCI, which will become a communication platform to promote the main idea of the project: refraction of Catherine the Great’s heritage on the fate of modern people and the territories, where the paths of historical travels of Catherine II lay.
The aim of the project is the development of small territories by creating innovative tourist sites and routes along the path of historical travels of Catherine II (the project was awarded a Special Diploma “For the preservation of a common union cultural heritage” in the nomination “The best idea of a tourist event” in the Final of the International Award in the field of event tourism “Russian Event Awards”).
