The visit of the business circles of the Republic of Belarus to Baku (Republic of Azerbaijan), organized by the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the request of enterprises of the wood processing and construction sectors, ended on 19 August 2022. There are 7 enterprises: Gomel State Production Forestry Association, Komarinskiy Forestry, Kalinkovichi Forestry, KimaBel LLC, Gomeldrev OJSC, Gomelstroymaterialy OJSC, Gomel branch of BelCCI.
During the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency AZPROMO and the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Azerbaijan. More than 20 Azerbaijani enterprises participated in B2B negotiations organized in the interests of the members of the Belarusian delegation.
Agreements have been reached on the supply of woodworking products, slab and building materials. It was agreed to increase the volume and expand the range of products under previously concluded contracts.
The delegation also visited the Woodpecker Mebel Şirkəti and Saloglu Mebel companies.
During the meeting, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Azerbaijan Vladimir Chushev stressed the importance of cooperation with Azerbaijan and the use of opportunities to enter the markets of neighbouring countries through Azerbaijan.
Also, commercial proposals of enterprises of the Gomel region interested in cooperation with this country were handed over to Azerbaijani partners.
