On August 31, 2022, a meeting was held in the Gomel Regional Executive Committee on expanding sales markets for enterprises and organizations of the Gomel Region in videoconference format.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Andrei Konyushko, chairmen of the district executive committees and administrations of the city of Gomel, General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI Marina Filonova, Director of the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange Grigory Ginsar and heads of enterprises of the Gomel region.
Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Andrei Konyushko, speaking to almost 200 participants, aimed at active work on import substitution and promotion of the interests of Gomel enterprises abroad.
He noted that for many years Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange have been effective channels of communication between Belarusian and foreign businesses in the search for bona fide partners and promotion of products for export.
Marina Filonova, General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI, presenting the activities of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI, paid special attention to the analysis of requests from enterprises, gave specific examples of work, outlined problematic issues that make it difficult to search for foreign partners and develop new markets for enterprises of the Gomel region. She proposed to use actively the resource of the electronic platform for international contacts bizgomel.by, created to help enterprises of the Gomel region as a practical assistant to promote foreign economic activity, business training, as well as legal and expert support for Belarusian businesses.
“Since May 27, 2022, an electronic platform has been introduced on the website of the universal commodity exchange, which provides a full cycle of goods movement: from searching for the best offer in real time to concluding a deal and its subsequent support,” said Grigory Ginsar, director of the Gomel branch of BUCE.
On August 31, 2022, employees of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI were trained to work at this site while improving their qualifications.
