The 8th meeting of the Working Group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Bashkortostan was held on December 23, 2020 under the chairmanship of the head of the Belneftekhim concern (Republic of Belarus) Andrei Rybakov and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russian Federation) Rustam Muratov.
In the videoconference mode, the speakers informed about the results of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and the Republic of Bashkortostan this year.
The Russian side indicated its interest in the supply of Belarusian road-building, municipal, agricultural and passenger equipment, paying special attention to industrial cooperation, the opening of representative offices and the creation of joint ventures, as well as the study of the possibilities of direct flights from Ufa to Minsk.
They also discussed issues of interaction between universities, activation of interregional ties and exchange of information about potential partners of both sides.
General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI Marina Filonova, speaking with a presentation, noted the interest of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gomel branch in establishing and developing interaction with Belarusian business circles and business circles of the Republic of Bashkortostan, expressed her readiness to jointly organize congress and exhibition events adapted to modern conditions. The Gomel branch of the BelCCI and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan reached agreements on the participation of business circles of both parties in the events of the chambers, holding presentations, and exchanging commercial proposals of regional enterprises. In addition, the parties showed mutual interest in cooperation in the field of industrial and event tourism.
Also, during the meeting, agreements were reached on holding a visit of representatives of the business community of the Republic of Bashkortostan to the Republic of Belarus in the second half of 2021 to conduct narrow-profile negotiations between Belarusian and Russian enterprises, ready for active cooperation.
