Feb. 9, 2023 in the Gomel brunch of Foreign Economic Affairs Department the meeting of the official delegation of the Fergana region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by the Deputy Governor Khurshijon Akhmedov, with the business circles of the Gomel region took place. The business mission from among the representatives of the woodworking, tourism, textile and food industries, and the medical sector was also accompanied by Akmal Pulatov, Deputy Governor of the Fergana Region for Localization and Industry, and Alisher Saliev, Head of the Fergana Territorial Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was held within the framework of the visit of the Fergana delegation to Belarus.
Making welcoming speech, Marina Filonova, General Director of the Belarussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gomel Brunch, deliver a presentation on the activities of the Branch and attracted the Uzbek side to participate in the main image events of the Branch – International Fair «Spring in Gomel», International Event «Business-days in Gomel» and in the Republican Fair “Polesskaya Skarbnitsa”. They discussed the prospects for organizing visits, as well as the exchange of commercial offers and advertising information about the enterprises of the two regions. As a guarantee of future active interaction, an Agreement on cooperation between Belarussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gomel Brunch and the Fergana Territorial Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed.
The meeting continued with individual B2B negotiations, in which more than 40 representatives of enterprises of the Gomel region, interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan.
