On May 25, 2022, a regional meeting was held with the Tambov region of the Russian Federation, organized by the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with ANO “Export Support Center of the Tambov Region”.
The meeting was attended by 28 enterprises of the Republic of Belarus and the Tambov region.
In the presentation of the Gomel region and the Gomel branch of the BelCCI, Ivan Grom, Deputy Head of the Foreign Economic Relations and Translations Department, informed about the possibilities of the electronic platform for international contacts GomelProBusiness (bizgomel.by), proposed to intensify the exchange of commercial offers, and also invited enterprises of the Tambov region to take part in the upcoming international events of the Gomel branch BelCCI: Republican universal fair “Paleskaya skarbnitsa” and international event “Business Days in Gomel”.
Igor Sukharchenko, head of the ANO “Export Support Center of the Tambov Region” noted the high interest among the business community of the Tambov region in finding partners among Gomel enterprises, and proposed to conduct a series of business missions in June-July 2022.
From the Belarusian side, presentations of their activities were made by: Gomel Regional Union of Consumer Societies, JV JSC “Amipak”, OJSC “Gomel Plant of Starting Engines named after. P.K. Ponomarenko”.
From the Russian one – LLC “Solomon Trade”, LLC Trade house “Krupy Chernozemye”, LLC Trade house “Russian Delicacies”, LLC Trade House “Eco Oil”.
At the end of the meeting, online B2B negotiations between Russian and Belarusian companies took place in individual halls. Agreements were reached on organizing business missions of Tambov companies in June 2022, as well as a return business mission of enterprises of the Gomel region in July 2022.
