On May 25-28, 2023, the largest regional exhibition of Belarus was held in Gomel, the hallmark of the region – XXIV International Exhibition “Spring in Gomel”, organized by the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee and the Gomel City Executive Committee.
The opening ceremony of the International Exhibition was attended by Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Gomel Region Sergei Bartosh, Chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee Vladimir Privalov, heads of district executive committees, administrations of the city of Gomel, other officials, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions, government officials, chambers of commerce and industry and business of the regions of the Russian Federation, states of near and far abroad, diplomatic missions, foreign chambers of commerce and business circles.
The exposition is located in Athletics Palace and adjacent territories, covering an area of more than 5,000 square meters.
Among the 250 participants of the “Spring in Gomel” there are 90 Belarusian enterprises of 9 industries, as well as business infrastructure organizations, banks that presented the potential of the Gomel region at indoor and outdoor venues.
The Exhibition was attended by 67 representatives of 14 countries: Azerbaijan, Russia, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Germany, Georgia, Zimbabwe, India, Iran, Uzbekistan, Libya, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Sudan. Russia was represented by 10 regions: Bryansk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Smolensk, Tula, Chelyabinsk regions, Udmurt Republic, Stavropol and Perm Regions.
The business program of the Exhibition was traditionally intense – 26 events were organized. On May 26, 2023, a business meeting was held for the heads of enterprises in the region and representatives of foreign delegations on topical issues of interaction between domestic and foreign businesses, in which Andrey Konyushko, Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, took part.
Individual programs, visits to the enterprises, specialized B2B and B2C negotiations with 16 enterprises of Gomel region were organized for foreign delegations.
In order to promote the tourism potential, preserve the cultural heritage of the Gomel region, within the framework of the International Exhibition “Spring in Gomel”, on May 26, a discussion platform “Time for tourism – learn the experience, build the prospects” was organized with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Dmitry Aleinikov, as well as round tables on tourism development.
Traditionally the IX Republican holiday of the Craftsmen and Artisans Festival “Gomel Spring” was held within the framework of the International Exhibition and gathered more than 100 “hand-made” masters.
At the end of the XXIV International exhibition “Spring in Gomel” a award ceremony to the laureates took place. According to the competition commission, the winners in the nominations were:

- “The best presentation of services” – Institution “Gomel Regional Clinical Oncological Dispensary”
- “Interaction” – JSC “Gomel Plant” Kommunalnik”
- “The most diverse exposition” – JSC “Gomeldrev”
