A business visit to Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan) was organized by the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on March 21-24. The delegation included the leaders of JSC “Gomselmash”, JSC “Amkodor”, JSC “Grodnoazot”, RUE “Gomel Regional Agricultural Experimental Station” of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, SUP “Lazduny-Agro”, USP “Novy Dvor-Agro”, Gomel branch of BelCCI.
Marina Filonova, General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI, presented the economic potential of the Gomel region and the activities of the Gomel branch at the meeting with business circles at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Issues were discussed on enhancing cooperation between the chambers in the interests of business, including the mutual exchange of information using interactive platforms, deepening interregional cooperation between the Gomel region and the Republic of Bashkortostan. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan Timur Khakimov proposed to consider the issue of organizing exhibition and fair events of Belarusian manufacturers in Ufa.
There were organized specialized B2B-negotiations for the interests of the members of the delegation. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Gomel branch of the BelCCI and ANO Congress-Bureau of Bashkortostan “Office Group” took place. The signatory from the Bashkir side was the Representative of the Congress Bureau in the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Klimin.
The participants of the visit visited the largest specialized exhibition of Bashkortostan “Agrocomplex”, held negotiations at the stands of exhibitors, and also took part in the events of the Agro-Industrial Forum.
On March 23, during the meeting of Marina Filonova, Director General of the Gomel Branch of the BelCCI, with Artur Karpovich, Head of the Branch of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation in Ufa, and Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, agreements were reached on organizing a return visit of Bashkir business circles to the Gomel Region this year and mutual exchange of information banners with their placement on websites.
The outcome of the meeting was the signing of an Agreement between the Gomel Branch of the BelCCI and the Export Support Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Director of the Center Ildus Khalitov also confirmed his interest in intensifying business contacts, information exchange and industrial cooperation with Belarusian partners.
The participation of the representative of the Republican unitary enterprise “Gomel Regional Agricultural Experimental Station” of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus Tamara Sidorenko in the scientific and practical conference “Modern state, traditions and innovative technologies in the development of the agro-industrial complex” at the Bashkir State Agrarian University aroused great interest among the Bashkir side. A preliminary agreement was reached on a return visit of Bashkir farmers to the Gomel region. The result was the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Bashkir State Agrarian University and RUE “Gomel Regional Agricultural Experimental Station” of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.
In order to exchange experience, the Belarusian delegation visited the leading agricultural enterprises of the region – LLC “UfaGorMolZavod”, large livestock complexes of LLC PH “Artemida”, KFH “Urozhay”.
Gomselmash JSC held a series of negotiations with potential partners – Tekhresurs LLC, Agrosila Trading House, Antares LLC, Ural Spring Plant LLC, BelZAN LLC, ESM LLC. The Bashkir side showed interest in the products of the Belarusian manufacturer of agricultural machinery, the implementation of industrial cooperation projects and import substitution.
On March 24, at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan – Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, the parties made proposals on import substitution, cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering, etc.
The Bashkir side confirmed its interest in holding a return visit to Belarus.
