Department of sport and tourism of the Gomel region executive committee provides single state policy contribution in the area of physical training, sports and tourism on the territory of the Gomel region. The main functions of the Department: management of sports reserve preparation, coordination of specialized educational sports facilities development, creation and strengthening of material and technical resources of physical training, sport and tourism, tourist infrastructure development, introduction of new internal and international tourist trails, assistance to creation and strengthening of friendly communications in the sphere of physical training, sport and tourism of the Republic of Belarus and other states.
